.:.Legendary Pokemon.:.

Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres

Articuno, Zapdos and Moltres can be only be found in Pokemon versions FireRed and LeafGreen. Articuno is found on Seafoam Islands, Zapdos is found at the Power Plant, and Moltres is found on Sevii Island's first island on top of Mt. Ember. All three legendary birds are level 50 and should be fairly easy to catch.

Mewtwo

Mewtwo can be only be found in Pokemon versions FireRed and LeafGreen. Mewtwo is found in Cerulean Cave (or, Unknown Dungeon) after defeating the Indigo League (Elite Four)The cave is difficult, even to pass through, with the high 50-60 leveled Pokemon. After finding your way through the maze, you will encounter a level 70 Mewtwo that is pretty hard to catch. Not only, is it hard to catch, but it also could wipe out your Pokemon easily, so bring high level Pokemon that could, make Mewtwo fall asleep, become paralyzed and has a lot of HP or defense. It is also a good idea to bring a lot of UltraBalls and hyper potions, revives and/or full restores.

Ho-Oh and Lugia

Ho-Oh and Lugia can be found in Navel Rock in FireRed, LeafGreen and Emerald versions, but you unfortunately need to attend a Nintendo Event to get the Mystic Ticket. Once you take the ferry to Navel Rock, you enter a cave and you see a fork in the road. If you go left, you will have to go up and encounter a level 70 Ho-Oh. After you defeat or capture it, don't forget to use the item-finder under where Ho-Oh used to be and pick up the Sacred Ash. After you go back down to the main floor, go to the right and go down to battle a level 70 Lugia. However, for owners of Pokemon Coliseum and XD: Gale of Darkness for the GameCube, you just might be in luck! To get Ho-Oh in Coliseum, first you have to purify all 48 Shadow Pokémon found in the Story. Then you have to make a team of 6 Pokemon from Story Mode and enter Battle Mountain in Battle Mode (1vs1 or 2vs2). Beat 100 trainers and Ho-oh will appear. It will be in your PC at level 70. To get Lugia in XD: Gale of Darkness, capture Lugia at Citidark Isle when you fight Grand Master Greevil. To purify it so you can trade it to GBA games, you have to go to the Purification Chamber and fill all 9 circles to the highest possible amount. After it is purified, it can now be transferred to the GBA.

Raikou, Entei and Suicune

In FireRed and LeafGreen, getting the dogs depends on which starter you chose at the beginning of the game. The types correspond as to which one would get you stronger. If you chose Squirtle at the beginning of the two games, Raikou would appear randomly in the wild, because it was your type's weakness. So Charmander would get you Suicune and Bulbasaur would correspond to the dog of fire; Entei. In order to capture the legendary dogs in Pokemon Colosseum, you must capture them as shadow pokemon from Team Cipher Admins. In the Cipher Lab, Admin Ein would get you Raikou (his hair resembles Raikou's tail) and in order to get your prize of Suicune, you must snag it from Admin Venus in The Under. Entei, however is found in Mt. Battle from Cipher Admin Dakim. You MUST face nine other trainers before Dakim. The dogs make their first appearance in the Johto region. In both Gold and Silver, they can be found randomly in the grasses of Johto after you find them in the Burnt Tower. However, in Crystal they are different. Suicune can be caught in the Tin Tower after getting the Clear Bell from the Radio Director in Goldenrod City. Entei should be the same as Gold and Silver and so should Raikou.

Regirock, Regice and Registeel

The Regi-trio can only be found after a special event happens. First, you have to have a Wailord and a Reliclanth. You will also need a pokemon with the move Dig. Go to Route 134 and navigate correctly through the currents. Once you get to the spot where you can use dive, dive underwater and go until the part where you can see Braile on the rocks. Read it and go above water. You should be in a cave. Look at the Braile and use Dig in front of it. The door will open up. Here, put Reliclanth in your first slot and Wailord in the last and read the Braile. A earthquake will happen (if it doesn't, you did something wrong) and the Regi-trio is unlocked! For Regirock, go into the desert on Route 111. Go down and you'll see a small cave. Go inside. Read the Braile inside. Then, walk right twice and down twice and use Strength. The door will open. Go inside to find a level 40 Regirock. Regice is the second of the Regi-trio. After freeing the Regis from their slumber, go to Route 105. Surf North-west and find a cave like how you faced Regirock in. This one is easier, go read the Braile and stand there. It could take a couple of minutes. But then the door will open up. Regice is inside at level 40. Our last is Registeel. Which is of course, the steel type (how'd you guess?). Go to Lilycove City and go to where up there is the small lake and a bush you can make a secret fort in and to your left should be tall grass. Go up that staircase and you'll see a cave. Go inside and read the Braile. Then go to the exact center of the room and use Fly. Somehow, the door will open. A cranky Registeel at level 40 will be in there. Getting the trio enables you to get Regigigas in Diamond and Pearl!

Latias and Latios

In Ruby and Sapphire the explanation is simple. Latias is only in Sapphire and Latios is only avaliable in Ruby. You have to beat the Elite Four first. These legends actually DO have geneders but sadly, they cannot breed. Latias is female and Latios is male. They are both at level 40 in the wild and flee at the first chance they have. They will be at the same HP in the next random route you find them in. In Emerald, your mom will ask you about a TV show and ask which color they said the pokemon was. Either Red or Blue. Red means you will find Latias after the Elites and Blue means Latios after the Elites.

Groudon and Kyogre

You have no choice but to battle one of these, corresponding on your game. Before you face the 8th Gym Leader, you have to beat them. They are both at level 45. Kyogre has Drizzle, which causes Rainfall when it is in battle and Groudon has Drought which makes the sun intensify in battle. Now however how tempting it is, do NOT use your Master Ball on one of them. Wait for your grand prize. I'd suggest stocking up on Ultra Balls and Timer Balls for them. In Emerald, you'll face them AFTER the Elite Four. You can find out their locations on the TV because it will say about intense weather. If it is rainy or sunny when it isn't normally, DO NOT LEAVE THAT ROUTE! Stay there and search for a cave. Go inside to find a Groudon if it is sunny or a Kyogre if it is rainy. You can face both of them in Emerald. They will both be level 70.

Rayquaza

Rayquaza is the biggest and meanest you've faced yet. This is the grand prize. From Pacifidlog City, go north east, but more north to reach the Sky Pillar. You'll need a Mach Bike to get through here. And it is tough to get up. Get your bike going fast and run on the cracks and steer to the solid ground. If you stop, you'll fall down a floor. Once you get to the top, you'll find a Rayquaza. Sure you can play the game of going behind it and sneaking up on it from behind. Don't battle it. Just chuck your Master Ball at it first turn. Simple. If you already used it, have a good pokemon that knows Ice moves, or is the Ice type. Maybe a good Regice.

Deoxys (N, A, D and S)

Deoxys is a pokemon obtained through a Nintendo Event. After you get the ticket from the event and have beaten the Elite Four. Go to the island from the ticket and push the rock in the right directions and the pyramid will break and Deoxys will appear. He will appear in his normal form. When you capture him in Ruby or Sapphire, he'll stay in his normal form. Trading him to FireRed turns him to attack form. LeafGreen is the defence form and Emerald is speed. Normal is the balenced one. Attack means attack and special attack are higher while defence stats are lower. Defence highers defence and special defence but lowers attack stats. Speed sharply raises speed and lowers the other stats somewhat. If you trade Deoxys to Diamond or Pearl, you can go to Veilstone City and "talk" to the meteors with Deoxys in your team. The rocks change your Deoxys' form and you can do it unlimited times.

Mew, Celibi and Jirachi

These three are some of the hardest to get. In Red/Blue there is a glitch that allows you to face a level 7 Mew. And as far as I (Andy) know, Celebi is given away at a Nintendo Event and the only other way to get it in Gold/Silver/Crystal is hacking. Mew is avalible in Emerald. To get Mew, you must accuire the map given away at a event. You can then go to the Faraway Island and play hide and go seek with Mew. After you corner Mew, it will battle you. In Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, FireRed and LeafGreen, Celebi is given away in a event. And for the last pokemon, Jirachi, There is three ways to get it in Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald. You can get it from a Nintendo Event, the Pokemon Colosseum Bonus Disk or the Pokemon Channel. In FireRed and LeafGreen you can get it in an event.

Uxie, Mesprit and Azelf

The three lake legends. This is the trio like the birds, dogs and regis. Once you release them from their hold in Galatic Headquarters, they will appear in the lakes they were in. They are all at level 50. Azelf and Uxie will just battle you inside their caves. Mesprit is one of the two runners in this game though. Mesprit randomly appears in the grasses of the region. You can track him using one of your PokeTch apps. A picture of him will be shown to you before he flees, adding him to your PokeDex.

Dialga and Palkia

Just like Groudon and Kyogre, you HAVE to face one of these for the good of the world. Diamond is Diagla and Pearl is Palkia. Both will help you in the Elite Four. Using your Master Ball is a waste. Stock up on Ultra Balls and Timer Balls. After Diagla/Palkia awakens in the most amazing pokemon moment ever. You'll face them at the odd level of 47. Diagla is a beast with Roar of Time so make sure he doesn't knock you out. Spatial Rend isn't very good for you either. When you manage to get them to low HP, I'd suggest giving them a status condition and if you still can't catch it, lower their defence. Roar of Time is a special, Dragon type Hyper Beam. Spatial Rend has 100 attack and 95 accuracy and a high chance of a critical hit. The Groudon and Kyogre of Diamond and Pearl are also fought before the 8th badge.

Heatran

This is one of the hardest pokemon in the whole game. It appears in the dreaded Stark Mountain. After Buck gets the Magma Stone. You have to exit. Talk to his grandpa and Buck in their Survival Area house. Go back into the room where Buck got the Magma Stone. A angry, level 70 Heatran will be waiting for you.

Regigigas

Regigigas. The giga regi. Almost useless because of Slow Start, which halves his attack and speed for the first five turns he is out. He is just the plain normal type. You find him in the Snowpoint City temple basement. You can always see him there. He just won't be awakened. To wake him, you have to have the National PokeDex to unlock the temple and transfer the three regis from your GBA games. With the 3 regis in your party, he will awaken. He is level 70 and can do a lot of damage even with Slow Start.

Giratina

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Giratina is quite the pokemon. Being the Dragon/Ghost type, it makes it resistant to some types, and 100% resistant to others. After beating the Pokemon League and getting the National Dex, the Spring Path will be opened in the route below Vielstone. Once you get there and get into the Turnback Cave, a puzzle is there. After you finally get to your prize room, a angry level 70 Giratina is waiting. Its signature move is Shadow Force. A physical Ghost move. After disappearing on the first turn to avoid attacks, it strikes on the next turn, even if the foe used Protect or Detect.

Cresselia

Cressila is the opposite of Darkrai. After obtaining the National Dex and beating the Pokemon League, the hyper kid in the Canaclave City sailor's house becomes sick and says that "Dark" is watching over him. Poor kid, he can't fully say Darkrai. In order to cure him, you must agree to the sailor to go to the island and get the Lunar Wing. Seems simple? Well, it is. Go to the island. "Talk" to Cressila and it will leave, after showing you its picture to add it to your PokeDex. It will leave the Lunar Wing in its place. Pick it up. Go back and hand it to the kid. He is cured. Also, Cressila will now appear randomly in the grasses of this region. Its signature move is Lunar Dance. Just a Psychic type Healing Wish.

Manaphy and Phione

Manaphy can be found in two ways: hacking or see here: http://ddsspot.orgfree.com/manaphycode.shtml. When the egg hatches, the Manaphy will be level 1. It has no signature moves. Its ability is Hydration, which prevents status problems when it is rainy. And of course, it knows Rain Dance. Phiones are a one of a kind thing. You can get billions of them but there is something about them. Breed a Manaphy and hatch the egg. If you train it to even level 100 guess what? It doesn't evolve back into Manaphy! The one and only pokemon that doesn't evolve back into its parent! Its ability is Hydration too. But if you are battling, choose Manaphy over Phione. Phione is just to add something else to the PokeDex with hopes that the trainers wouldn't figure it out and not complete their PokeDex. It has lower stats too. They don't have a huge movepool. So I'd stick to a Blastoise or something in battling.

Darkrai

Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket
Darkrai is PokeDex number 491. In order to get Darkrai, you must get the item Member's Pass from the green man in the PokeMart during a event that gives away the pass. After you get that, go to Canaclave City. You are now able to enter the Harbor Inn (place above Canaclave's Pokecenter)! Once you get inside, a man will tell you that he has been holding your reservation for a very long time. Then he gets you to sleep in their bed. You start to fall asleep. You wake up on Newmoon Island, with a boat that apparently took you here. No driver though, sorry. This is a backwards Fullmoon Island. Craggy rocks instead of forest life. Once you go into the cavern and discover a circle lake, you'll see a Darkrai standing in the middle of it. Since you have had to have beaten the Elite Four, I'd suggest bringing some weaker pokemon, as Darkrai is at level 40. Darkrai is the pure Dark type. He learns his signature move, Dark Void at level 66. Dark Void has a bigger accuracy than Hypnosis and in a double battle, buts both enemy pokemon to sleep.

Shaymin

This little ball of nature may look cute, but it can be very deadly. At an event, they give away Oak's Letter. It tells you which route to go to. You may have already been here. After beating the Elite Four and getting the National Dex, go back into Victory Road. You might've seen a little doorway that was blocked by a man. But with the completion of the Elite Four, he leaves. Now it is one of those things where you have to team up with someone. Once you get through, she will leave you. You might want to have her restore their health one last time. Follow the path to the white rock. Oak will be waiting for you there. He'll then ask you who you admire. (I, Andy, put down QQ) After you tell him, it will be written on a rock. Next thing you know, a path will open up above Oak. You'll see a Shaymin and it will make its little noise and run up. Go on the Seabreak Path for about 45 seconds up on the fast bike until you get to Flower Paridice. You'll see a little Shaymin there. It is at level 30 and has the normal pokemon battle music, but the screen goes around like facing the champion almost. At level 100, it learns its signature move, Seed Flare. It is a special grass type move. Base power of 120 and accuracy of 85. It has a big chance of lowering their special defence, though.

Arceus

Arceus. The god of pokemon. This beast can only be caught when you go to the event giving away the Azure Flute. Once you have it, go to the Spear Pillar. On the first tile, it will ask you if you want to blow in the flute because it is making a strange noise. When you do, a glowing stairway will take you up. Once you step on the tiles up there, you will automatically walk and challenge Arceus, the multi-type pokemon. It is level 80 and it is the Normal type. Maybe you'd be less sad about it being normal if I said currently. Or maybe if you remember I said it was the multi-type pokemon. You know those nifty plates you find around the region? Well attach one of those to Arceus. It will change color and type. And that isn't all folks. At level 100, it learns Judgement. That is its signature move. 100 power and 100 accuracy. Special attack. And if you attach one of the plates, it won't say it in the summary but in battle, Judgement will be the type of that plate! Normally, Arceus and Judgement are the normal type.
